You may have read my recent article Reading Between the Lines of Your Blood Work Results and wondered what I might see on your blood work. You may have even recently gone to your doctor who ran blood work and said you’re just fine, even though you feel far less than. Some of you have contacted me to look at your blood work, so I wanted to list exactly which markers I look at to give you a complete nutritional assessment. Very few times in the past 15 years has a patient come in with what I would consider a thorough panel. So, here are the markers I’m looking for:

Why do you need such a big panel?

When looking at blood chemistry from a functional or nutritional standpoint, we need to correlate a number of different markers, many of which are missing from regular panels. In addition, we need a thorough look at what’s going on with the body in order to determine where your symptoms are originating. This type of analysis will provide enough information to make science based nutritional recommendations, supplement suggestions and lifestyle modifications that will set you on the road back to optimal health.
